Qualifications:

  • College degree holder in any of the following: Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering (preferably with PRC license)
  • Post-graduate studies/training in Environmental and/or Occupational Health & Safety Management is an added advantage
  • Must have at least 5 years' solid experience in Environmental and OSH Management
  • Well versed in international standards (e.g. ISO 45001 and ISO Documenting, Implementing and conduct of Internal audit
  • Preferably a Certified Auditor/Lead Auditor for ISO and ISO 14001
  • Must be an EMB-accredited Pollution Control Officer for 2 years
  • Preferably a DOLE-accredited OSH Practitioner
  • Certified Radiation Safety Officer is an advantage
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization, including briefing executive management on status of pressing issues (e.g. security)
  • Current knowledge in EMS & OHSMS are essential. Ability to develop & conduct trainings is a must
  • Emotional maturity to understand the impact and sensitivity of issues (e.g. safety & security)
  • High integrity
  • Compensation is based on skills and qualifications
  • Must be willing to work at Cebu Light Industrial Park, Basak, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, evaluation and sustainability of the organization's Environmental initiatives, strategies and programs (e.g. Environmental Aspects & Impacts Determination, Objectives, Opportunities, Environmental Sustainability, etc.)
  • Ensure that the company's identified Environmental Aspects, Impacts, Risks & Opportunities are effectively managed and it's EHS Policy & Requirements are communicated to all stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance to all legal & other requirements (compliance obligations) concerning the company's Environmental Management System e.g. DENR-EMB/PEZA/BFAR/PNP/PDEA/BFAD/DOH
  • Assist in the development, implementation, evaluation and sustainability of the company's Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) and Security Management System
  • Ensure a safe & healthful workplace for all by fully supporting the enforcement of guidelines & procedures, implementation of appropriate controls and preventive measures as well as other relevant programs and initiatives
  • Attain and maintain required certification/accreditation on Environmental (Pollution Control Officer), Occupational Health & Safety (OSH Practitioner & Radiation Safety Officer) Management and as may be required by the Company and the law
  • Ensure that Environmental (EMS) and Occupational Health & Safety (OSH) Key Performance Indicators are consistently achieved and/or exceeded & continually improved
  • Maintain a high level of internal and external customer service
