Job Specifications:

Ensures the availability and reliability of any equipment/solutions/platforms categorized by network equipment not limited to switches, routers, wireless access points, and gateway devices, including network monitoring systems (NMS) including administration of its server operating systems on where the services are running, such as Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network monitoring systems (NMS), Routing and Remote Access services (RAS), etc. In coordination with the Information Security Officer, IT Security Administrator, and Server Administrator, the Network Administrator ensures the integrity and security of its environment to prevent misuse or mishandling of resources that could cause operational disruption.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs asset discovery, identification of assets, risk assessment, and reporting to provide recommendations to remediate asset misconfiguration following configuration and change process
  • Manages identity and access management systems to ensure only authorized staff, devices, and equipment have access following the least privilege principle.
  • Conducts capacity management to ensure the availability and reliability of Network and communication infrastructure.
  • Collaborates with project/service delivery leads in deploying and implementing Network and communications infrastructure that supports all projects.
  • Manages all requirements for designing and implementing connectivity and communication equipment, platforms, or solutions for IT infrastructure.
  • Guides the Technical Support Engineers and co- administrators in remediating and stabilizing network and communications operations during an incident.
  • Designs and provisions with the assistance of the Technical Support Department for the communication or connectivity lines not limited to the internet, MPLS,and satellite transport services required by the Head Office and branches, including its subsidiaries.
  • Performs regular review and restoration of configuration while capturing recovery duration.
  • Manages server operating systems where networking or communication tools and services are running so that they can perform their day-to-day tasks or deliverables.
  • Supervises external service providers in delivering contracted services related to switches, routers, wireless access points, gateway devices, and network monitoring systems (NMS).
  • Reviews and executes the configuration changes business units require before deploying production environments.

Experience and Education:

  • Graduated with a BS in IT / Computer Engineering / ECE / Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least four years of experience in an organization with a large, 24/7, mission-critical operations environment that supports enterprise systems.
  • At least two years of experience as a project technical lead in various solutions.
  • At least two years of experience as a network administrator or engineer in a supervisory role
  • At least one year of experience as a network or desktop support

Skill Competencies and Personal Attributes:

  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating System Administration.
  • Team player and process-oriented, able to work under pressure with knowledge in switching, routing, SDWAN, and identity access management solutions or platforms
  • Being certified in network management and server administration or related fields is a plus
