Job Description

Job Summary

A Cloud Engineer deploys, debugs, and executes cloud computing initiatives. They design, create, and maintain cloud-based systems, guaranteeing effective data storage and policy adherence. They also connect with customers, offer cloud support, and make recommendations depending on their requirements.

Responsibilities

Cloud Network Administrator

  • Design, plan, and implement client-specific cloud solutions
  • Identify appropriate cloud providers
  • Ensuring the cloud network is responsive to user demands
  • Scaling cloud services to serve growing businesses
  • Troubleshooting issues which arise
  • Liaising with business owners and/or stakeholders to determine growth plans
  • Monitoring usage of cloud network
  • Implementing effective security strategies on cloud networks
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines
  • Document Standards and Procedures related to Cloud and Network.

5. Technical Competencies

  1. Well- versed in setting up configuration of network devices such as routers, firewalls and servers
  2. Education: Graduate of BS Computer Science, BS Computer Engineering, IT, or any related
  3. Experience: Minimum of 5 yrs experience in Cloud Administrator
  4. In depth understanding of cloud network infrastructure, firewalls, antivirus, and other information security related
  5. Ability to identify and mitigate cloud network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them

8. Job Specifications

  1. Very good communication skills in English (written and oral)
  2. Have 3 years of experience in maintenance of network solutions
  3. Hold at least Cisco CCNA certification OR equivalent network knowledge of routing & switching technologies
  4. Knowledge of VPN technology and at least one of the following firewall solutions: Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet/Palo Alto/Checkpoint
  5. Experience or familiarity with Public Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  6. Understanding of load balancing concepts and/or hands-on experience with Load Balancers will be an asset.
