Role Description:

Responsible for managing technical aspects of larger and/or more complex tasks or components of projects, meeting financial, quality, timeframe and health and safety objectives. Manage the delivery of elements of larger projects in accordance with Arcadis management systems to meet time, quality, budgetary and health and safety targets. Typically assigned to provide a controlling technical role on medium size and/or moderately complex tasks in single discipline. Coordinate and manage teams of single (own) discipline engineers and technicians. May undertake a Task Management Role in line with Arcadis Task Manager Academy competence requirements. Work to ensure maximum internal stakeholder satisfaction, championing care and proactively working with internal

stakeholders.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Able to lead and provide direction and technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery and in their professional development
• Capable of exercising sound holistic independent judgement and take responsibility and accountability for their own performance and that of junior team members
• Able to understand and comply with the Code of Conduct operated by professional institution
• Demonstrate appropriate professional standards, recognizing obligations to society, the profession and the environment
• Technical ownership of safe design processes which consider safety during construction, operation and decommissioning through the use of hazard identification and risk assessment during design development
• Sound knowledge of legislation, hazards and safe systems of work and understand how to manage health, safety and welfare within own area of responsibility
• Experienced in leading, and working with, people from varied disciplines, backgrounds and cultures
• Excellent task management, stakeholder relationship management and commercial skills at a level expected of a professional person
• Maintain and extend a sound theoretical approach to the application of technology in engineering practice
• Ability to implement design solutions and lead their evaluation
• Able to provide input to estimates for the engineering budget and schedule and to oversee technical resources to meet requirements on large, straightforward projects
• Able to use sound knowledge of statutory and commercial frameworks within own area of responsibility and have an appreciation of other commercial arrangements
• Prepare and develop calculations, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, and specifications for public health systems (water supply, drainage, sanitation).
• Design of Water distribution systems (cold, hot, industrial), Wastewater and rainwater systems, Associated equipment (pumps, tanks, grease separators).
• Integration with MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent and formally licensed
• to act as a professional engineer (if required in their Arcadis GEC
• country)
• Possess 7-15 years of relevant professional experience
• Use CAD/BIM software (e.g., Revit) for creating detailed designs and plans
