Purpose

The Tax Specialist is responsible for handling and maintaining all tax reconciliations and data essential for the accurate preparation and timely submission of tax returns and attachments for the major operating companies. The role ensures full compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) –
    Required

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of relevant work experience in Taxation

Business Knowledge:

  • Up-to-date with current Tax Laws and Regulations
  • Proficient in Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) systems and applications (e.g., Data Entry, Alphalist, eFPS)

Areas of Responsibility

Tax Filing, Accounting, and Regulatory Compliance

  • Prepares tax returns and related attachments for major cable companies
  • Gathers data and documentation for business permit renewals
  • Manages renewal of BIR registrations
  • Oversees submission of financial statements and associated requirements

Tax Audit and Advisory

  • Prepares tax reconciliations and documentation for BIR audits and assessments
  • Supports responses to tax-related queries on business transactions
  • Conducts research on applicable tax issuances and rulings

Required Competencies

  • Strong understanding of tax compliance and accounting standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Analytical and detail-oriented
