Position Summary
The Paralegal provides administrative and operational support to the Legal and Compliance Department, ensuring efficient management of legal documentation, compliance records, schedules, and communications. This role serves as a vital link between the department and other business units, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of legal and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Legal and Compliance Administrative Support
- Prepare, organize, and maintain legal and compliance documents, records, and case files in both physical and electronic formats.
- Assist in the preparation of legal correspondence, reports, and forms.
- Ensure accurate filing and easy retrieval of contracts, agreements, and compliance documents.
2. Coordination and Communication
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather information and documents needed by the Legal and Compliance teams.
- Schedule and arrange meetings, hearings, and appointments, ensuring proper documentation and logistics.
- Facilitate clear communication between the Legal & Compliance Department and other units.
3. Compliance Assistance
- Support the preparation and submission of compliance reports to regulatory bodies.
- Assist in monitoring deadlines for legal and compliance filings to ensure timely submissions.
- Maintain updated records of licenses, permits, and other regulatory requirements.
4. General Office Administration
- Manage departmental calendars, travel arrangements, and expense tracking.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive documents.
- Assist in special legal or compliance projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a paralegal or administrative support role, preferably in a legal or compliance department.
- Basic knowledge of legal and compliance processes and documentation.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and document management systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
