Position Overview

The Accounting Assistant supports the finance department by performing essential accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting in daily financial operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Transactions & Recordkeeping

  • Assist in processing invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and reconciliations.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Assist in monitoring accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Verify and process supplier invoices and customer payments.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain proper documentation.

Bookkeeping & General Accounting

  • Record financial transactions in the company's accounting system.
  • Maintain ledgers, journals, and trial balances.
  • Assist in bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Assist in preparing financial reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support tax and audit processes by providing necessary documentation.

Administrative Support

  • Organize and maintain accounting files and records.
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding financial matters.
  • Perform other related administrative and accounting tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or relevant experience).
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
