Payroll Specialist

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll on a bi-monthly/monthly basis using the company's payroll system (e.g., Sprout).
  • Receive and process validated timekeeping, attendance, and leave data submitted by HR via HRIS.
  • Apply payroll adjustments such as overtime, bonuses, incentives, and statutory deductions based on HR's payroll advice.
  • Coordinate with the HR Generalist to ensure the accuracy of employee status updates such as new hires, terminations, and promotions.
  • Generate payroll summaries, payslips, and required reports for review and distribution to Finance and HR.
  • Assist in year-end tax reporting, including preparation of BIR Form 2316 and the Alphalist.
  • Maintain organized and confidential payroll records, reports, and documentation.
  • Address payroll-related employee inquiries professionally and with strict confidentiality.
  • Support Finance and HR during internal or external audits and compliance reviews.
  • Liaise with HR to ensure a smooth handover of government remittances after payroll processing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in payroll processing; experience using HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., Sprout) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Philippine labor laws, government statutory requirements, and payroll compliance
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work collaboratively across departments

Work location: Quezon City

Work setting: Hybrid setup, Work-from-home with occasional On-site

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
