Duties & Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international accounting, tax, and business regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including licenses, permits, certifications, and regulatory filings.
- Internal Audits: Assist in conducting regular internal audits to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Policy Implementation: Support the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings for both the firm and its clients.
- Risk Management: Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and recommend corrective actions.
- Client Support: Advise clients on regulatory requirements related to their business operations.
- Liaison: Communicate with regulatory bodies and external auditors as necessary.
Job Specification
- Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Law, Business Administration, or any related field.
- Preferably with relevant certifications in compliance management.
- Experience in an accounting or consultancy firm is considered an advantage.
- Proficient in compliance management software and MS Office application, with strong understanding of local tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory framework.
- With strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess good moral, right conduct and discipline both in personal and in work.
- Willing to undergo training and assume compliance-related responsibilities.
