REVIT MODELLER

SHIFT: DAY / MORNING PHT

TYPE: FULL TIME; INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR

PROJECT BASED (3-4 MOS)

Position Overview

The Revit Modeller will be responsible for creating accurate, data-driven 3D models derived from point clouds and survey datasets. This role bridges surveying and spatial data with digital engineering, ensuring that high-quality, detailed Revit models are produced for design, coordination, and asset documentation purposes.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in extracting and modelling from point clouds within a surveying or spatial context — converting captured site data into precise BIM-ready deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Import, process, and extract geometry from 3D laser scanning and point cloud data to develop accurate Revit models.
  • Create as-built models and digital twins aligned to survey control and project coordinates.
  • Interpret survey drawings, control data, and specifications to ensure model accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Work closely with surveying, scanning, and spatial teams to validate point cloud accuracy and ensure deliverables meet client standards.
  • Maintain file management, version control, and model documentation within project frameworks.
  • Apply Revit family creation and parametric modelling skills for infrastructure, buildings, and complex environments.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure seamless data exchange and model integration.
  • Support continuous improvement of modelling workflows, templates, and QA processes.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Revit standards and libraries tailored for survey-derived data.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in Revit modelling from point clouds (essential).
  • Previous experience in a surveying, spatial, or 3D scanning environment.
  • Understanding of survey control, coordinate systems, and geospatial accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Recap, and associated Autodesk workflows.
  • Familiarity with Navisworks, Civil 3D, Cyclone, or CloudWorx (advantageous).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical data.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • A proactive approach to innovation and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science, Drafting, or Digital Engineering.
  • Autodesk Revit certification or equivalent experience (preferred)

Home Office Requirements:

  • Internet Connection : Must be 50 mbps at the least, preferably wired connection for main and backup
  • Computer/Laptop: The contractor must have a good working computer with Dual Monitors
  • Headsets : The Contractor must have noise cancelling headsets preferably Plantronics Blackwire C320M headsets.
  • Dedicated Home Office - Contractors are required to have a dedicated home office free from noise and distractions.
  • Web Cam - for meeting purposes
  • Must be comfortable in working with Time Doctor/Screenshot Monitor
