About the role:

The Inpatient Coding Team Lead is responsible for supervising the daily functions of the inpatient medical coding team to ensure the timely and accurate assignment of diagnosis and procedure codes. This role includes reviewing and auditing coded records for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to official coding guidelines and payer-specific requirements. The Team Lead also serves as a subject matter expert, offering guidance on complex inpatient coding scenarios, including DRG validation, ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding, CPT use (as applicable), and proper modifier application.

Qualifications:

  • With active medical coding license (CPC, COC, CCS-P, CCS, CIC)
  • With at least 4 years in IP or SDS coding experience
  • At least 2 years of team management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in any medical allied courses
