Position Overview

The Project Assistant provides administrative, logistical, and technical support to the IT project team. This role supports the effective planning, coordination, and execution of IT development projects to ensure deliverables are completed within the approved scope, timeline, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting meeting minutes.
  • Monitor and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure alignment with project plans.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain project documentation, including project plans, reports, and status updates.
  • Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems for all project-related documents.
  • Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, developers, and project team members.
  • Coordinate logistics, travel arrangements, and procurement of materials as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, user manuals, and project progress reports.
  • Collect, analyze, and consolidate data for performance metrics, reports, and presentations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for project-related coordination and inquiries.
  • Liaise with internal departments, vendors, and external consultants to support project implementation.
  • Manage and regularly update project management tools, trackers, and dashboards.
  • Support testing, validation, and review of software applications or platforms, as required.
  • Document, track, and follow up on bugs, change requests, and user feedback for review and resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least one (1) to two (2) years of experience in a project support or coordination role, preferably in an IT or software development environment.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite and project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting IT projects in government or enterprise environments is an advantage.
