  • Picking up and delivering documents, packages or supplies on behalf of the organization or individual
  • Verifying delivery information, such as names, addresses, and telephone numbers
  • Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and obtaining signatures when necessary
  • Planning the most efficient routes for deliveries to ensure timely delivery
  • Communicating with dispatchers, drivers and other team members to coordinate packages, route plans, and traffic updates
  • Ensuring the vehicle is always fueled and well-maintained to prevent any delays in delivery
  • Following any special instructions related to the delivery or pick up, including handling fragile items with care
  • Providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues or complaints related to the delivery

Qualifications

  • Previous work experience as a Messenger or Delivery Driver.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using GPS devices and maps for navigation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good physical condition to lift and move heavy items.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferable.
