Primary duties and responsibilities

  • Pick-up and delivery: Transport documents, packages, and other items to various internal departments or external recipients.
  • Errand running: Handle tasks like paying bills, making bank deposits, and purchasing office supplies or groceries.
  • Record-keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, payments collected, and other activities.
  • Vehicle maintenance: Ensure the company vehicle, if applicable, is clean, in good working order, and all traffic laws are followed.
  • Administrative support: Assist with basic office tasks such as filing, sorting mail, and operating office equipment.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Physical ability: Must be able to lift and carry heavy items and stand or drive for extended periods.
  • Navigation and time management: Ability to plan efficient routes and manage time effectively.
  • Communication and customer service: Professional and courteous communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Driver's license: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are often required.
  • Education: Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
