Araneta City is looking for Chief Security Officer who will be responsible for the overall security and safety of the Araneta City (shopping malls, entertainment venues, office buildings, hotels and residential condominiums), develops and implements security strategies and traffic management plan, manages security and traffic personnel, coordinates and liaise with local authorities (QCPD, PNP Station 7, MMDA, QCDPOS etc.,) , ensures compliance with security and safety policies, rules, regulations and proactively identifies and mitigates risks while fostering a secure and safe environment for Lessees, visitors, employees and residents.

Principal duties

Security & Traffic Planning & Strategies

  • Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive Security and Traffic Management Plan
  • Conduct security risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
  • Ensure security measures are aligned with the latest industry standards and practices and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with Management on emergency preparedness and response strategies
  • Prepares Annual Security Department Budget

Security Operations

  • Oversee the daily security and traffic operations.
  • Establish and maintain Security and Traffic Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all types of events/ functions.
  • Ensure operability of all security equipment such as radio, access control, surveillance systems (CCTV), alarms
  • Conduct patrolling of the area to maintain a secure and safe environment

Team Management & Training

  • Traini and supervise security personnel
  • Ensure the discipline, attendance and work performance of security personnel
  • Conduct regular training and drills on emergency response, crisis management and safety protocols
  • Ensure that all security personnel are well- equipped and adhere to ethical standards and professionalism.

Emergency & Crisis Management

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of emergency response plans for different scenarios such as fire, earthquake, civil unrest, medical emergencies and criminality.
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies such as the PNP, Bureau of Fire and other emergency services as required.
  • Act as the primary contact person for crisis response and security - related incidents.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with laws, ordinances, regulations and building and fire codes.
  • Maintain detailed records of security incidents, investigations and corrective actions taken.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to Management

Stakeholder and Public Relations

  • Work with Lessees, residents, business owners, and employees to address security concerns.
  • Collaborate with Property Management and security agencies to maintain seamless operations.
  • Conduct periodic security programs.

Qualifications

  • Degree holder in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement or related field.
  • At least 10 years in managerial capacity in the field of security management
  • Proven experience in crisis management, emergency response and risk assessment.
  • Experience liaising with government law enforcement agencies
  • Ability to work in shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Available for emergency response 24/7
