Resident Office Manager

We are seeking a Resident Office Manager based in Manila to support our expansion into the Philippines. This is a remote, work-from-home role for a professional with a strong background in airfreight operations, sales, and customer service, particularly in handling valuable cargo (e.g., luxury goods, commodities and fashion accessories). The ideal candidate will act as our local point of contact and represent our company in the Philippines. You will be working closely with and reporting to our management team based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
Airfreight Operations (Valuable Cargo)
- Manage the full shipment cycle of valuable cargo airfreight, ensuring secure and compliant handling.
- Coordinate with airlines, ground handlers, external vendors and international agents to support door-to-door delivery.
- Handle logistics documentation and monitor shipment milestones.
Local Representation & Office Management
- Serve as the local representative of the company in Manila.
- Handle basic admin tasks remotely and help support the future establishment of a local entity.
- Act as a liaison between local vendors, clients, and government agencies if needed.
Customer Service
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as the go-to contact for customer support in the Philippines.
- Handle client communications professionally and resolve issues promptly.
Sales & Business Development
- Support and grow our valuable cargo client base in the Philippines.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and client reports.
- Identify and engage with new prospects in coordination with the regional sales team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the airfreight or logistics industry, preferably in valuable cargo.
- Strong knowledge of IATA airfreight procedures and local customs regulations.
- Must have a custom brokerage license
- Experience working remotely and independently, with strong self-management skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, logistics platforms, and CRM tools.
Added Advantage
- Existing network of customs brokers or clearing agents in the Philippines that can be engaged.
- Experience dealing with international logistics companies or working with clients across borders.
- Familiarity with regulatory and business requirements for setting up operations in the Philippines.
Additional Information
- This is a remote position, ideal for candidates with a reliable home office setup in Manila or nearby areas.
- The role may evolve into a full-time managerial role in a registered Philippine office once the entity is established.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php100, Php140,000.00 per month
