About the role

Seeking an experienced Procurement Head who will be responsible for leading and managing the company's end-to-end procurement activities related to the telecom industry, including network equipment, contractors, materials, and services. This role ensures cost efficiency, supplier reliability, compliance, and timely support to operations and projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and oversee procurement planning, sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management for telecom-related requirements
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business and project needs.
  • Manage supplier sourcing, accreditation, bidding, price negotiations, and contract awarding.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services to support telecom projects
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality, and compliance with contracts.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Project Teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and internal controls
  • Control procurement costs and identify opportunities for savings and process improvement.
  • Lead and mentor procurement staff, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
  • 10-15 years of procurement experience, with strong exposure in the telecom industry.
  • Telecommunications industry experience is preferred, with consideration given to candidates from other relevant sectors such as Construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and handling vendors, contracts, contractors and managing supplier relationships
  • Strong background in negotiation, supplier management, and contract handling.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, bidding procedures, and cost control.
  • Establish, improve, and document procurement processes and systems to enhance efficiency, transparency, and control.

Plus Factor

  • Ability to design, implement, and improve procurement processes and systems from scratch or enhance existing ones.
  • Experience in setting up procurement controls, documentation standards, or digital tracking systems is a strong advantage.
