Job Responsibilities:

  • Reviews order-related documents for completeness and accuracy and coordinates with end-users and business units on required procurement information (eg. Technical specifications, budget, cost center, etc).
  • Coordinates with major business units on annual forecast of goods and services and consolidates projected spend data.
  • Assesses supplier's capability to deliver goods and services based on standard set criteria.
  • Prepares simple and complex bid documents based on requirements of end-users in compliance with established policies.
  • Conducts bidding of materials and services requirements.
  • Leads the commercial evaluation of bids based on pre-established criteria.
  • Represents the unit in cross-functional teams whenever applicable.
  • Conducts negotiations with short-listed suppliers.
  • Recommends award, prepares justification, purchase orders and other documents as necessary.
  • Creates Purchase Orders for assigned transactions.
  • Follows-up/coordinates delivery of goods and services.
  • Provides feedback to the end-users about status of their requests.
  • Ensures vendor's/contractor's compliance to commercial provisions.
  • Reviews market trends, conducts research on technology updates and recommends sourcing strategy.
  • Assists Procurement Head in tasks assigned in achievement of the unit's goals.
  • Performs other tasks as deemed necessary.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Information Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Math, Engineering.)
  • At least 2 or 3 years' experience in purchasing.
  • At least have experience in one of these (technology, commercial or construction)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Power Point, Excel, and Access. With advanced knowledge in negotiation, basic and advanced purchasing processes and strategies.
  • Can start ASAP.
