JOB SUMMARY:
The role is responsible for managing assigned ledgers and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This includes conducting Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss analysis, monitoring trends and variances, and evaluating accounting implications. The position serves as a key liaison with country counterparts and the Corporate Accounting Team, acting as the primary point of contact for accounting queries and coordinating with relevant parties during statutory audits.
The role ensures compliance with standard policies and procedures, oversees month-end closing activities, and supports external auditors during interim and year-end audits to achieve timely completion with minimal business disruption.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a working knowledge of the ledger assignment.
- Conduct analysis for Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss, monitor trends and fluxes, and evaluate accounting implications.
- Assist and engage with Country counterparts and/or Corporate Accounting Team on all matters affecting assigned ledgers.
- Point of contact for queries to any Accounting and GBS functional teams, coordinates with relevant parties throughout the statutory audit process and acts as an extension of country controllers.
- Ensure standard policies and procedures are applied, and any exceptions are reported to Corporate Accounting or Local Finance.
- Monitors and ensures the performance of month-end closing activities.
- Assist external auditors in the execution of interim and year-end audits ensuring timely completion within minimal business intervention.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy, preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), with at least 3 years of solid experience in auditing or in an accounting and reporting team responsible for preparing the company's financial statements.
- Knowledgeable in business software such as SAP.
- Strong personality and has a positive attitude towards work.
- Fluent in oral and written English communication.
