Job Description

SMDC's Marketing Department is seeking a creative and tech-savvy
Web Developer
to design, develop, and maintain web solutions that elevate our marketing initiatives. You will collaborate with the marketing team to ensure all digital platforms are engaging, user-friendly, and optimized for performance, while also driving innovation in SMDC's online presence.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Maintenance

  • Build and maintain responsive websites and landing pages that align with SMDC's branding and marketing campaigns
  • Update web content, plugins, and themes as needed

UI/UX Implementation

  • Translate design mockups and wireframes into functional web pages with a focus on user experience.
  • Ensure web designs are mobile-friendly and optimized for all devices.

Performance Optimization

  • Implement SEO best practices to improve search rankings.
  • Optimize web pages for speed and scalability.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with graphic designers, copywriters, and the marketing team to deliver cohesive campaigns.
  • Coordinate with IT and external vendors for technical support and integrations.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor web performance using analytics tools and provide actionable insights.
  • Track and report on user behavior, engagement, and campaign success.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure websites adhere to data privacy laws and industry standards.
  • Monitor and address security vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years
    of experience as a Web Developer or similar role.
  • Experience in developing websites for marketing purposes is a plus.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress or Drupal.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or React.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles, Google Analytics, and tracking tools.
  • Must be AWS Certified

  • Experience with APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
