Job Summary:

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and managing inventory levels to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The role includes forecasting inventory needs, reconciling discrepancies, generating reports, and coordinating with procurement, warehouse, and operations teams to support smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all warehouses, stores, or departments.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation to identify variances.
  • Analyze inventory trends, product movement, and demand forecasts to optimize stock levels.
  • Prepare and update inventory reports, dashboards, and documentation for management review.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing/Procurement teams regarding replenishment, ordering, and delivery schedules.
  • Work with Warehouse and Operations teams to address inventory issues and improve processes.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damages, or losses.
  • Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure proper documentation of incoming and outgoing inventory transactions.
  • Support cost-reduction initiatives by identifying slow-moving or excess stocks.
  • Use ERP systems or inventory management software for tracking and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or related field.
  • 1-2 experience in inventory management, supply chain, or a similar role is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
