Role Overview
The Client Relationship Manager (CRM) for Business and Commercial Lending serves as a key liaison between the financial institution and its business clients. The role focuses on fostering strong, long-lasting relationships with clients while ensuring their financial needs are met through tailored lending solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of commercial lending products, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to navigate complex financial scenarios.
Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement and Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business clients by understanding their financial goals and challenges.
- Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring consistent communication and timely responses.
- Conduct regular check-ins to assess satisfaction and identify opportunities for support.
- Identify new opportunities within the commercial sector to expand the client portfolio.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create strategies for acquiring new clients and cross-selling lending products.
- Represent the institution at industry events and networking opportunities.
- Analyze client financial statements and business plans to assess creditworthiness.
- Guide clients through the loan application process while ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Partner with underwriting teams to facilitate loan approvals and resolve issues.
- Act as an advocate for clients within the institution.
- Provide feedback on client expectations and market trends to improve products and services.
- Monitor client accounts to identify risks or signs of financial distress.
- Collaborate with risk management teams to develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, loan agreements, and account activities.
- Prepare regular reports on client performance and portfolio status.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending products, policies, and market trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data and make sound recommendations.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High level of professionalism and commitment to client satisfaction.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in commercial lending or financial services preferred.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and CRM software.
