We are expanding our QR payment business in the Philippines and seeking a skilled professional who can develop secure payment solutions while supporting merchant integration. This hybrid role involves backend API development, payment system integration, and technical merchant onboarding. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, clients, and external developers to optimize digital payment solutions while troubleshooting technical issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement secure APIs for QR payment processing and merchant integration.
  • Integrate payment gateways, banking systems, and mobile platforms into existing solutions.
  • Support merchant acquisition and onboarding, ensuring smooth integration with payment systems.
  • Demonstrate integration specifications to external technical teams and provide guidance.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to payment processing and merchant onboarding, escalating when needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including developers and business stakeholders, to refine system capabilities.
  • Stay informed on emerging fintech trends, including QR payments, API security, and compliance standards.
  • Lead and manage third-party integrations to optimize transaction workflows.
  • Work with teams in India on joint development projects and feature releases.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in backend development using Java, Python, JavaScript, or
  • Experience with API development, POS systems, and financial transaction integration.
  • Strong understanding of REST API protocol, JSON standards, and API security (JWT, OAuth).
  • Knowledge of ISO 8583, 20022 standards for payment processing.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage internal teams, clients, and external developers.
