About the Role

The
Senior Marketing Officer

plays a key role in driving the Institute's marketing and communications strategies, with a focus on strengthening brand visibility, engagement, and impact across all platforms. This position leads the conceptualization and execution of multi-channel campaigns, oversees content and market research initiatives, and ensures strategic alignment across all marketing efforts.

The role involves close collaboration with internal units and external partners to position ISA as a thought leader in governance and institutional reform.

Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Planning

  • Lead the development and execution of the Institute's annual marketing strategy and communication plans
  • Conduct advanced market research and competitor analysis to inform marketing direction
  • Define marketing objectives, KPIs, and ROI metrics to measure success
  • Identify new market opportunities and recommend innovative approaches to strengthen ISA's brand and reach
  • Oversee the maintenance and evolution of brand identity across all materials and platforms

Campaign Leadership

  • Design, manage, and evaluate multi-platform marketing campaigns for institutional programs and advocacy initiatives
  • Supervise the execution of marketing plans for major programs such as the Public Governance Forum, Governance Boot Camps, Skills Lab, and other flagship events
  • Oversee campaign analytics, reporting, and optimization based on data insights
  • Ensure campaigns reflect cohesive messaging, strong visuals, and timely delivery

Content Strategy & Oversight

  • Provide creative direction and editorial oversight for marketing content, ensuring quality and alignment with ISA's voice and standards
  • Coordinate the production of digital assets (graphics, videos, infographics, and publications) in collaboration with the Content Marketing team
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance audience engagement and digital presence

Administrative & Data Management

  • Manage marketing databases, CRM systems, and analytics dashboards for performance monitoring
  • Oversee the marketing calendar, ensuring strategic integration across programs and events
  • Prepare and present periodic marketing performance reports and insights to management

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with other units (Programs, Training, Research, and Operations) to align messaging and maximize outreach impact
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including partners, media, and event sponsors, to enhance collaboration opportunities
  • Represent the Advocacy and Communications Unit in internal and external coordination meetings

People Development

  • Mentor and support Marketing Officers, interns, or project-based staff in executing marketing deliverables
  • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement within the marketing team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or digital media, with experience in strategic campaign management preferred.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, Canva, and SEO/SEM tools.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Filipino.
  • Experience working in or with non-profit, advocacy, or mission-driven organizations is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of branding, digital trends, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate goals into actionable marketing initiatives.
  • Proficiency in social media analytics, content performance metrics, and digital optimization.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Strong content development skills and basic graphic design capabilities.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in hybrid or remote setups.

Compensation & Benefits

  • PHP 28,000 to 31,000/ month
