  • Create a positive shopping atmosphere among employees and customers. (Guests.)
  • Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the store to include: staffing levels, sales quota, budgets, merchandising, house-keeping & financial goals.
  • Analyze and document business processes and opportunities.  Develop positive solutions to enhance efficiencies. Create opportunities from problems.
  • Partner with your corporate staff to create partnerships and develop better communications.
  • Share the monthly communications with all in-store Associates to enhance their brand education and develop better sales training.
  • Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.  Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operations problems.  Become a mentor/partner to those who are your Associates.
  • Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation.  Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Responsible for staff scheduling to include: work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations…but above all employee moral and attitude.
  • Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing exemplary services for customers.
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.  Instruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales in a positive way.
  • Creative problem solving in a way that improves store service efficiency and productivity.  Many problems are just opportunities waiting to be discovered.
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales and products to identify your respective customer base and demographic.
  • Determine price schedules and discount rates.  Maintaining a high standard of merchandising and rotating the 'challenged merchandise' to make room for your newest arrivals. Partner with both your Operational and Merchandising division to keep the flow of merchandise constant and fresh.
  • Formulate pricing policies for merchandise, according to profitability requirements.
  • Review operational records such as inventory and sales reports to project sales and determine profitability and to prepare reports for your corporate partners to better your service to the public.
  • Responsible for store security including control of keys, shop-lifting and internal theft.
  • Monitor store security and safety by double-checking if all doors are properly locked, lights and electrical appliance are switched off after operating hours.
  • Performs other related duties in a may be assigned by immediate superior in a positive manner to show as a shining example to all Associates that we ALL must do our part for the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Male/Female
  • Candidate must be a graduate of any 4 year course related to business or services
  • With at least 2 years experience in managerial capacity preferably in retail industry such as fashion or merchandising company
  • Preferably with POS knowledge
  • Preferably with experience in actual store management &/or product management &/or merchandising
  • Excellent leadership, analytical and PR skills
  • Flexible; results-oriented and excellent in customer service
  • With good command of oral and written communication
  • Experience in retail stores for Sports Brand or Footwear is an advantage
  • Willing to be assigned in Cebu (Ayala Center, SM JMall, SM Cebu, etc.)
