Electronics Technician

An Electronics Technician for AVR Games is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electronic arcade machines, video redemption games, ticket payout systems, and amusement gaming equipment. This role requires strong electronics knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to diagnose issues in game boards, wiring, sensors, displays, and control systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesGame Repair & Maintenance

• Diagnose and repair arcade and video redemption game hardware, including PCBs, wiring harnesses, power supplies, monitors, sensors, motors, and lighting systems.
• Troubleshoot issues with game logic boards, coin/bill acceptors, card readers, touch screens, buttons, joysticks, and other inputs/outputs.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on games to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as capacitors, resistors, switches, diodes, connectors, and other electronic parts.

System Testing & Calibration

• Test and calibrate ticket payout systems, scoring mechanisms, sensors, motors, and mechanical assemblies.
• Verify that games operate within manufacturer specifications, including payout rates and play mechanics.
• Update or install firmware, software patches, and configuration settings when required.

Technical & Mechanical Work

• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for arcade and redemption equipment.
• Solder and rework components on PCBs and control modules.
• Perform mechanical repairs on moving game parts including gears, motors, belts, solenoids, and actuators.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
