Role Overview

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Sales Manager (SM) drives revenue by closing qualified opportunities in PopAI's organic sales pipeline and agents-for-equity engagements. This role focuses on enterprise SaaS and AI solutions, converting leads from Business Development Representatives (BDRs) or diverted targets. The ideal candidate is a strategic closer with experience selling AI-powered solutions across multiple sectors, balancing day-one profitability with market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Qualification & Pipeline Management:

Own qualified opportunities from BDRs or Corporate Development. Build and maintain a robust pipeline, validating client needs, budgets, timelines, and competitive landscape.
2. Solution Selling & Presentation:

Collaborate with Product and AI teams to provide pre-sales support on complex deals. Prepare solution briefs outlining architecture, data flows, effort estimates, and risks. Present PopAI's AI-driven offerings and demonstrate ROI through industry case studies.
3. Deal Closing & Negotiation:

Manage end-to-end sales processes including pricing, negotiation, and contracts via the Deal Desk. Close deals targeting quarterly revenue goals while ensuring profitable unit economics.
4. Prospecting & Opportunity Generation:

Identify new enterprise opportunities through cold outreach, networking, social media, and events. Conduct market research across BPO, fintech, e-commerce, and shared services to identify high-potential leads.
5. Post-Sale Handoff & Reporting:

Facilitate smooth handoffs to Account Managers, maintaining detailed CRM records. Participate in weekly Revenue Reviews and Deal Desk meetings to track pipeline health and resolve bottlenecks.
6. Cross-Functional & Strategic Support:

Collaborate with Marketing, Alliances, and Corporate Development teams to align sales efforts. Review sales performance and provide actionable recommendations to exceed targets.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or related field; advanced certifications (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.
  • 3–5 years B2B sales experience in BPO, SaaS, AI, fintech, e-commerce, or enterprise shared services with a history of meeting/exceeding quotas.
  • Knowledge of subscription, usage-based, and equity revenue models.
  • Outstanding negotiation and communication skills with C-level buyers.
  • Proficiency in CRM/sales tools; experience with AI-driven sales automation a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills for pipeline forecasting and KPI tracking.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in dynamic markets while connecting sales efforts to PopAI's mission.
