Cost Specialist
Overall Objective:
To manage and control all cost-related activities within supply chain operations, ensuring accurate cost allocation, analysis, and reporting that supports strategic decision-making and operational efficiency
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and monitor supply chain costs, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution
- Prepare cost reports and variance analyses to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization
- Develop and maintain cost allocation models aligned with business objectives
- Collaborate with supply chain and finance teams to ensure accurate costing in ERP systems
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing cost-related insights
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
- Recommend cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Industrial Engineering
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is an advantage
Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cost analysis or cost accounting, preferably in supply chain or logistics operations
- Experience in sales and distribution industry is highly preferred
