Job Summary:
Responsible for managing customer accounts, monitoring collections, and ensuring the accurate recording of receivables and related transactions. The role also involves performing regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash and financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, record, and reconcile accounts receivable transactions in the accounting system.
- Issue invoices, official receipts, and statements of account to customers accurately and on time.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Post and apply customer payments to corresponding invoices.
- Prepare and analyze Accounts Receivable Aging Reports and recommend actions for overdue accounts.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring that all deposits, collections, and adjustments are properly recorded.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and company records.
- Coordinate with Sales, Logistics, and Treasury teams to reconcile customer payments and deliveries.
- Maintain organized and updated records of all AR transactions, collections, and related documents.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, audit requirements, and financial reporting.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as may be assigned by the Finance Supervisor or Accounting Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or any related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, or Bank Reconciliation.
- Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for client and inter-department coordination.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
