The Opportunity

Allegro is seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Technician to join our team, playing a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our critical facilities machines and equipment. In this position, you will be instrumental in executing maintenance activities, monitoring utility consumption, and providing essential support to our production operations. What You Will Do

• Execute Maintenance Programs: Initiate and perform Building Maintenance, Sustaining Maintenance, and Preventive Maintenance activities as scheduled. Conduct inspections, monitoring, and evaluations to ensure effective utilization and efficiency of all facilities machines and equipment with minimal breakdowns.

• Drive Cost Reduction Initiatives: Initiate and monitor cost reduction efforts related to utilities such as power, water, and air. Address and fix any discrepancies in plant consumption and recommend improvements for usage, handling, installation, and function to achieve departmental goals.

• Provide Production Support: Offer continuous support to production by ensuring machines and equipment are in good condition, reliable, and meet or exceed quality expectations for internal and external customers.

• Perform Troubleshooting & Repair: Effectively troubleshoot minor or major machine failures and breakdowns, aiming for the shortest possible resolution time.

• Mentor & Guide: Orient and guide new Facilities Technicians and On-the-Job Trainees (OJTs) regarding the operation and maintenance of all existing Facilities machines and equipment.

• Monitor & Evaluate Parameters: Monitor parameters set by machine/equipment manufacturers against actual readings on monitoring sheets to determine operating conditions and identify abnormalities.

• Support Infrastructure Changes: Check, verify, and evaluate proposed locations prior to the installation, modification, transfer, or relocation of machines and equipment, based on approved plans or layouts.

• Manage Spare Parts & Consumables: Monitor consumable materials and non-stock spare parts. Recommend spare parts for requisition, and withdraw, check, and evaluate received or delivered spare parts.

• Maintain Records & Coordinate: Log daily accomplishments in the communication logbook and endorse unfinished tasks to succeeding shifts. Coordinate with concerned departments regarding scheduled work, repairs, troubleshooting, and other Facilities-related works, including new paperless FAC-WAT Requests or as instructed by your immediate superior.

• Conduct Audits & Assist Contractors: Perform regular audits of all areas of responsibility and implement immediate corrective actions. Assist contractors in effectively performing their assigned tasks and check the work done by janitorial personnel and contractors.

• Perform Extended Activities: Execute extended maintenance activities outside the manufacturing plant covered by AMPI Facilities or as instructed by your immediate superior.

What Will You Bring

• An Electrical/Mechanical Technology/Engineering degree or equivalent.

• At least 2-5 years of experience as a Facilities Technician, preferably in a semiconductor environment.

• Preferably, a background in the operation of facilities machines and equipment, both electrical and mechanical.

• Proficiency in computer use and office software.
