Job Description

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and regulatory submissions while supporting your team in delivering top-tier financial services. You'll ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of accounting tasks in a collaborative yet autonomous environment.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • At least 3 years of local accounting experience
  • Knowledge in XERO or MYOB accounting software
  • A graduate of an accounting degree

Your Daily Tasks

  • Act upon direction given by local supervisor and team members in Sydney
  • With supervisor, prioritise work and ensure quality and accuracy
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Prepare work with supporting documents for review and approval
  • Respond promptly to feedback and update work as required
  • Maintain files in line with requirements
  • Lodge approved submissions to regulatory agencies (ATO, ASIC)
  • Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting papers
  • Develop effective working relationships with team members
  • Work independently with growing autonomy
  • Undertake assignments as directed by supervisor
  • Serve as a backup resource when local staff are absent
  • Assist in preparing various reports
  • Attend meetings and training as required
  • Maintain high standards of service for customers and clients
