PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As a Tractor Operator, you will operate a tractor equipped with spraying implements to apply crop protection agents, ensuring accurate application, adherence to safety protocols, and proper maintenance of equipment throughout the operation.

Here's how you would make an impact:

  • Operates the tractor for agricultural spraying activities, specifically when towing the STORM, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Performs routine maintenance and basic repairs to ensure the equipment remains in proper working condition.
  • Ensures safe handling and application of pesticides by adhering to established safety protocols. This includes minimizing operator exposure and preventing pesticide-related illnesses through the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as ensuring the secure storage, handling, and transport of the STORM equipment and pesticide materials in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Carries out pre- and post-operation inspections using the designated checklist to ensure readiness and prevent equipment malfunctions or spraying incidents. This includes correctly setting operational parameters such as volume requirements, revolutions per minute (RPM), and tractor speed according to Drone Application Technology (DAT) or technical guidelines, while strictly following all safety procedures and operational precautions during spraying activities.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • High School graduate or College level holder.
  • Must possess a valid Drivers License and hold a National Certification for Agricultural Machinery Operation.
  • Proven experience in operating farm machinery, particularly tractors, with a solid understanding of agricultural operations.
  • Willingness to undergo further training and certification to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to the role, with the flexibility to work beyond regular hours as needed.
  • Open to deployment in various Growing Operations Areas, particularly in Isabela, as required by the company.
