About the role

Global Payments Process Centre, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant - Settlements to join our growing team in Quezon City Metro Manila. As a full-time employee, you work with stakeholders to ensure alignment with accounting policies and financial reporting requirements.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintain accurate and timely financial data via reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Support month‑end close and ensure compliance with GAAP/SOX/policies.
  • Assist audits and partner across teams to improve accounting processes.
  • Contribute to standardization, system enhancements, and automation.
  • Prepare/adjust JEs; reconcile GL accounts and perform root‑cause analysis.
  • Participate in month‑end/year‑end close with strong cutoff discipline.
  • Analyze variances and prepare statements/reports for assigned portfolios.
  • Support regulatory filings; maintain evidence and internal controls.
  • Participate in process automation and documentation standardization.

What we're looking for

  1. Must have a Bachelor's in Accounting/Accountancy; 2+ years accounting experience.
  2. Proficiency in reconciliations, JEs, and variance analysis.
  3. Experience with accounting software/ERPs (Oracle preferred).
  4. CPA or equivalent preferred; financial services background helpful.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication; English proficiency.
  6. GL reconciliations and JE processing.
  7. Close support and reporting for assigned business units.
  8. Audit support and regulatory compliance activities.
  9. Process improvement and automation initiatives.
  10. Cross‑functional collaboration and documentation.
