Role – Junior Loan Writer (Full-Time, Contract, Remote)

We are a leading mortgage broking firm seeking a talented and motivated Loan Writer (Remote) residing in ideally Cebu, Philippines (other locations will be considered), to join our growing team In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding Australian borrowers through the loan application process for Australian properties.

About the Role:

In this full-time, permanent remote role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient borrowing capacities of our clients' mortgages. You will be reporting to the mortgage brokers and will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

  • Conduct comprehensive loan workshops with mortgage brokers to understand borrower needs and financial situations (salaries and self-employed)
  • Read, analyse and interpret the borrowing capacities through emails received from several referral partners like builders, real estate professionals and financial planners.
  • Prioritise the daily workload and provide the correct result to the referral partners and mortgage brokers within the pre-specified time frame.
  • Adherence to the format supplied by the referral partners and brokers for calculating the borrowing capacities.
  • Efficient use of mortgage tools like Quickli, SMSF calculator and Funding position comparison.
  • Directly emailing the borrowing capacities to the referral partners and brokers, after ensuring the correctness of data.

The Ideal Candidate should be/have:

  • Knowledge and experience in writing Australian home loans, with experience covering salaried and self-employed applicants, and knowledge in home loan, investment loan, construction loan and SMSF financing.
  • Experience working for a bank or Australian mortgage broker in the mortgage settlement space (for example - loan processor, broker assistant or para-broker).
  • Must have experience in completing servicing calculators.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy to avoid reworking and rejections.
  • Initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage a diverse workload autonomously in a remote setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders like lenders, solicitors, clients and real estate professionals.
  • Proficiency in a variety of computer systems like MS Office, Adobe, etc.
  • A passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Desirable:Familiarity with Australian mortgage broking applications like Quickli and Infynity would be advantageous
