Introduction

Microsoft has introduced powerful integrated development environments Visual Studio, and Visual Studio Code to developers for unified application development, debugging, optimization, testing, deployment, etc. on Windows/Linux/Mac platforms. CSI provides corresponding manual and automated testing services for core functions such as diagnosis and debugging, performance optimization, installation, Web development, .NET Core development and other core functions involved in the development tools to ensure that the corresponding functions of these tools can be released smoothly in each version. The current team is distributed in different countries and regions, and the main delivery focuses on completing the testing for each stage of the product. At present, the test scope has been extended from the Visual Studio test based on the Windows platform to the test of Visual Studio Code under Windows/Linux/Mac/Android. CSI has mastered cross-platform and Azure automated testing capabilities.

Objectives

  • Familiar with Microsoft project testing processes and methods
  • Familiar with and master the use of Microsoft products such as Visual Studio, VS Code, Azure Portal, etc.
  • Learn and master basic manual testing skills for Visual Studio and VS Code.

Description of the Internship

  • Familiar with the product being tested and learn some theoretical knowledge in testing
  • Learn to deliver tasks, including testing, logging new bugs and preparing test reports.
  • All functional modules tested will be explained one by one by tutors, and they answer questions in real time. The tutors arrange weekly meetings to review the content learned during the week and check for any gaps.
  • Participate in delivery tasks. Conduct testing with the assistance of the tutors, create a new bug after discovering the issue, and finally send a test report according to the testing requirements.

Supervision and Mentorship

  • Throughout the internship process, each intern has a one-on-one mentor for guidance.
  • The interns will report to the Project Manager from China and will be working side by side with the senior team members working in the Philippines.
  • The team including the intern and Project Manager will have weekly meetings for progress review.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • National unified recruitment of bachelor's degree or above, computer related majors.
  • Good English reading, writing and oral communication skills.
  • Strong logical thinking ability and learning ability
  • Good communication and strong self-motivation
  • C# is a plus

Evaluation and Feedback

Weekly review meetings will be used as the basis for evaluating interns. During each review, mentors and other personnel will evaluate the progress and modify personal training plans in real time based on the actual situation of the interns. At the same time, some guidance and suggestions will be provided to help interns improve.
