Job Summary:

The Surveillance Operator responsible for the maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting and technical support of surveillance and access control systems within VITRO's Data Center. This role ensures all security-related hardware and software operate effectively. The Technical Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring system availability and optimal performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrades of surveillance systems (CCTV, ACS, VMS) and supporting hardware/software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to surveillance, access control and monitoring systems in coordination with IT and security vendors.
  • Monitor system health and generate reports on system performance, incidents and maintenance activities.
  • Manage firmware updates, patches and system backups in accordance with IT security policies.
  • Document technical procedures, equipment configurations and maintenance logs.
  • Ensure data retention systems are functioning properly and meet organizational standards.
  • Support integration efforts for new surveillance technologies and system expansions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security systems, cybersecurity risks and emerging technology trends.
  • Perform additional technical tasks and support duties as assigned by the Technical Shift Lead or management.

Job Qualification:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree / College Graduate (preferably in Information Technology, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field)
  • Relevant Experience:4 years hands-on experience with electronic security systems including CCTV, Access Control and Video Management Systems

  • Knowledge / Training:

  • Proficient in the configuration and troubleshooting of surveillance and access control systems (e.g., Genetec, Gallagher, Lenel, Facility Commander or similar platforms).

  • Familiarity with network fundamentals (IP addressing, PoE, switches) and structured cabling.
  • Understanding incident response processes and cybersecurity best practices is an advantage.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams, wiring schematics and system architecture documentation.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills for collaboration and reporting purposes.

  • Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities in high-pressure environments.

  • Certification / License:Certified Security Professional CSP, Certifications such as CCNA, Genetec certified technician (preferred but not required).

  • Willing to work on a shifting schedule & be assigned in Makati City.
