Technical Surveillance CCTV Specialist

Key Task Responsibilities:

Incident Management

  • Provide first response support if CCTV, Access Control, Parking Barriers, Speedstiles, or Walkthrough Metal Detectors stop working.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and first-level maintenance to restore systems.
  • Record all incidents, actions taken, and solutions for tracking.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on hardware and software issues to avoid repeat problems.
  • Escalate issues that cannot be solved internally to vendors or higher support.
  • Take part in Business Continuity Plans (BCP) by supporting backup systems and recovery during downtime.

Information Security (Physical and Environment)

  • Assist Surveillance Operators in setting up security system access rights and privileges.
  • Handling special requests for access rights that are not part of the usual process.
  • Assist in preparing and keeping security policies, standards, procedures, and documentation updated.
  • Monitor system health and performance to ensure smooth operations.

Asset Management

  • Support QA/QC work and take part in project activities.
  • Assist in project management tasks when required.
  • Assist during preventive maintenance, inspections, and system testing.
  • Keep records of equipment issues, replacements, and maintenance history.
  • Assist in client visits and site tours by ensuring systems are working and ready.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities assigned by the Group/Division/Department Head to support overall objectives of the department and organization.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of a 4-year course in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related courses.
  • With at least 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Has good knowledge in troubleshooting and supporting security systems like Video Surveillance or CCTV, Access Control, and Alarm Systems.
  • Can do Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to find and fix problems so they do not happen again.
  • Knows security processes, preventive and corrective maintenance, and system guidelines.
  • Careful and detail-oriented, with strong technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to support asset protection by ensuring proper system operation, incident documentation, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reports and documentation.
  • Can communicate well in English, both oral and written.
  • Able to train end-users or staff on the basic use and care of security systems.
  • Proactive, dependable, and willing to work extended hours if needed.
