Job Summary:

The Backhoe Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials on construction sites. This role ensures that excavation and earthmoving tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate backhoe and other heavy equipment to perform excavation, trenching, loading, and material handling tasks.
  • Inspect and maintain the backhoe to ensure proper operation, including checking fluid levels, tires, and mechanical parts before and after use.
  • Follow safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents or equipment damage.
  • Interpret site plans, blueprints, or instructions from supervisors to determine work requirements.
  • Excavate areas for foundations, utilities, drainage systems, or roadworks as instructed.
  • Load and unload materials or debris and ensure proper disposal as per project standards.
  • Communicate with site supervisors, spotters, and other workers to coordinate operations.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or site issues immediately to the supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned equipment and work area.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Backhoe Operator or similar heavy equipment operation.
  • Must possess a valid NC II Certificate in Excavator/Backhoe Operation issued by TESDA.
  • Knowledge of construction procedures, safety standards, and equipment maintenance.
  • Physically fit and able to work in varying weather and site conditions.
  • Willing to relocate and work on different project sites as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php19, Php20,000.00 per month
