We are seeking an AI Governance & Data Protection Associate to join our Data Privacy team. As a valued member of the team, your primary objective will be to enhance the operational effectiveness of the Legal & Business Affairs function. You will contribute to the delivery of ethical, compliant, and efficient legal support by managing AI governance and privacy operations, ensuring data accuracy, supporting policy and regulatory workflows, and enhancing processes through effective reporting and continuous improvement.

What will you do as an AI Governance & Data Protection Associate?
As an
AI Governance & Data Protection Associate
, you'll play a key role in ensuring responsible AI use and data privacy compliance. You'll help maintain operational excellence by supporting governance processes and delivering accurate reporting for stakeholders. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the AI Safe Use process, maintaining dashboards and records, and ensuring dataaccuracy and consistency.
  • Assisting with the implementation of our privacy compliance program by maintaining policies, monitoring changes, coordinating audits, and delivering awareness training.
  • Managing data subject rights requests (e.g., access, rectification, erasure) and maintaining detailed logs for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Supporting Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and assisting with data mapping, classification, and retention in line with governance standards.
  • Handling shared mailboxes for AI and privacy queries, ensuring timely triage and policy-aligned responses.
  • Compiling and analysing compliance metrics for AI governance and privacy, preparing reports and insights for senior management and regulatory bodies.

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

Essential:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience in a corporate environment with demonstrable experience of managing and maintaining company processes.
  • A strong interest in data protection, privacy compliance, or AI governance.
  • Proven ability to support operational frameworks and implement policies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, SharePoint, Power BI) to an advanced level is expected.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of maintaining accurate records and dashboards under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of collaborating across Legal, IT, and business stakeholder teams.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a passion for continuous learning, data analysis, records management and process improvement.

Desirable:

  • Experience with privacy and governance platforms such as OneTrust.
  • Understanding of AI governance principles.
  • Experience in a past role which involved handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
