Abelcon Builders Corporation is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Planning and Control Engineer that will be efficient in Project Planning and Cost control to achieve the Operational and Organizational objectives of the Company. Chosen candidate will be in Office-based and Visit site occasionally.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Estimate time, resources, and costs required for each project phase.
  • Establish project baselines (schedule, cost, and scope).

  • Identify and highlight critical paths and potential bottlenecks.

  • Project Monitoring and Control

  • Track and update project progress against the approved baseline.

  • Monitor actual performance (progress, cost, manpower) versus planned targets.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify delays or cost overruns.
  • Recommend corrective actions to bring the project back on track.

3. Cost Control and Forecasting

  • Support the preparation and control of project budgets and cash flows.
  • Monitor cost performance and highlight deviations.
  • Assist in forecasting completion dates and final project costs.

4. Risk and Change Management

  • Identify and assess potential risks and their impact on project schedules and costs.
  • Propose and track mitigation plans for schedule or cost risks.
  • Evaluate and document change requests, including schedule and cost impact analyses.
  • Support the claims and extension of time (EOT) preparation process.

5. Reporting and Documentation

· Prepares Job Order, Client billings, and weekly project expense.

  • Generate progress dashboards, S-curves, and histograms to visualize project trends.
  • Prepare management reports summarizing progress, performance, and issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation for audits and reviews.
  • Provide input to client and internal meetings with visual and data-driven updates.

6. Coordination and Communication

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings to ensure alignment of schedules across departments.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on schedule updates, constraints, and risks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

· With License is a plus

· Knowledge in Primavera P6 (most preferred), Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel

· Understanding of drawings, specifications, and BOQs, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Critical Path Method (CPM)

· Control in Cost & Resource: Budget development and tracking, Earned Value Management (EVM), Progress measurement and forecasting

· Analytical thinking & problem-solving

· Time management & prioritization

· Communication & coordination

· Detail-oriented
