Software Test Engineer

QA and Test Engineer (AU, eCommerce, Remote)

Schedule: 7 am  - 4 pm PHT

Location: Philippines - Work From Home

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Skills:

• 3-5+ years' experience in a senior software QA/testing role, with strong experience in automation and manual testing
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript
• Experience working with integration platforms (middleware/iPaaS) and third-party systems
• Expertise in RESTful API testing frameworks and tools
• Strong understanding of distributed systems (e.g. microservices, event-driven architectures)
• Demonstrated ability to lead and execute test strategies, test plans, and test case development
• Skilled in CI/CD testing pipelines, preferably YAML-based
• Experience with manual and automated functional, regression, performance, ETL, and end-to-end testing
• Familiarity with data reconciliation and quality assurance between systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Highly Valued:

• Experience guiding engineering teams on testing best practices
• Ability to propose design changes to improve testability
• Familiarity with performance/load/stress testing tools
• Background in mentoring, coaching, and QA process improvement
• Previous exposure to iPaaS/Middleware platforms

What You'll Do

As a Senior QA and Test Engineer within the Supply Chain & Operations team, you'll play a key role in maintaining engineering quality, improving automation infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability of critical eCommerce operations. You'll work with both proprietary and third-party services across a variety of testing strategies.

Your responsibilities include:

• Reviewing technical specifications and defining test strategies
• Leading end-to-end testing efforts across integrated systems
• Creating and executing automated functional and performance tests
• Performing manual and exploratory testing
• Identifying and root-causing system issues
• Proposing and implementing improvements in test processes and tools
• Ensuring test coverage across unit, integration, and contract testing
• Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to triage issues
• Preparing and maintaining documentation (Test Plans, Test Cases, Metrics, etc.)
• Supporting CI/CD pipeline test integration and execution
• Recommending improvements based on user scenarios and pain points
• Promoting testing standards and driving continuous quality improvement
