About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Mechanic to join our growing team at Basic Hauling and Logistic Inc.'. This full-time role is based in Antipolo City Rizal and will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical operations and maintenance of our commercial fleet.

What you'll be doing

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical issues across our fleet of commercial vehicles
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to optimise vehicle performance and lifespan
  • Lead a team of skilled mechanics, providing training, support and performance management
  • Maintain detailed records of all repairs, servicing and maintenance work conducted
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, in line with safety and compliance regulations
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to minimise vehicle downtime and optimise fleet operations
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations to management

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Chief Mechanic or equivalent, ideally within the automotive trades industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of commercial vehicles
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team of mechanics, with excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety standards
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment, with a good understanding of vehicle technology and innovations
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in automotive mechanics
