Amazon Reports and Forecasting Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time, with a 1-hour break

Salary: $1,200 per month

Job Overview: 

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Amazon Reports and Forecasting Specialist to join our team in a full-time remote role. This position will focus on generating accurate reports and forecasts for Amazon accounts, providing insights into sales, inventory, performance during peak events, and A/B testing outcomes. The role requires strong data analysis skills, expertise in forecasting, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations that support strategic decision-making and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting and Sales Analysis:
    • Generate accurate sales and inventory forecasts to support decision-making processes.
    • Review and analyze existing forecasts, providing feedback and presenting alternative models when necessary.
    • Update and maintain forecasting documents, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
    • Assist in the generation of sales performance data for various Amazon promotions and events, including Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc.
    • Perform market research and data analysis to make recommendations for promotions and deals.
  • Peak Event Reporting:
    • Prepare and maintain reports for peak events such as Prime Big Deals Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.
    • Analyze the performance of specific deals (e.g., Backbone One Lightning, Backbone One USB-C) and share insights for future events.
    • Conduct post-event performance analysis and provide insights to drive future event strategy.
  • A/B Testing & Research:
    • Assist in the development and execution of A/B tests to optimize product listings, promotions, and campaigns on Amazon.
    • Provide detailed performance reports on A/B testing outcomes to inform strategic decisions.
    • Support the creation of research documents for new product launches, promotions, and deals, focusing on Amazon India and other international markets.
  • Google Sheets Management:
    • Update and manage Google Sheets to track product performance, sales forecasts, and inventory data.
    • Organize and streamline data in a clear, understandable format for team analysis.
    • Create and maintain dashboards for easy access to key performance metrics.
  • Deal Strategy and Promotions Research:
    • Collaborate with the team to suggest deal types and promotions based on past sales data and forecasting trends.
    • Research historical data to suggest the best deals for upcoming events, focusing on high-margin products and giftable items, particularly around the holiday season (e.g., December sales).
    • Analyze previous promotions to determine which deals drove the most sales and how to maximize performance in future events.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Amazon account management, e-commerce analytics, or a similar role
  • Proven experience with sales forecasting, A/B testing, and performance reporting in an e-commerce or retail environment
  • Strong proficiency with Google Sheets, Excel, or similar tools for forecasting and reporting
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central and related reporting tools is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, especially during peak events
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present reports and findings to stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work independently in a remote environment
