We're looking for a passionate, skilled Bookkeeper to work with one or two Australian healthcare clients, assisting with financial operations, optimising revenue, and implementing strategic growth initiatives. Role Overview
As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for assisting with financial operations, optimising cash flow, and supporting strategic financial growth for one or two key Australian healthcare clients.
This is a remote role for a hands-on finance assistant who can execute financial strategies, automate reporting, and provide key business insights to improve profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with financial strategy and business growth
- Assist to develop financial plans to help healthcare clients diversify income streams beyond NDIS, including private pay, Medicare, private health insurance, corporate funding, and government grants
- Identify and apply for grants, tenders, and funding opportunities for Australian healthcare providers
- Assist to conduct financial analysis to identify trends, improve cash flow, and reduce costs
- Assist to ensure clients are profitable, scalable, and achieving financial sustainability
Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero
- Manage and reconcile accounts, prepare GST reporting, and file BAS (Business Activity Statements)
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with Australian tax and superannuation laws
- Implement automation tools to streamline invoicing, payments, and financial reporting
Assisting with revenue management and profitability optimisation
- Track and optimise income sources, including Medicare, private health insurance, and corporate contracts
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets for healthcare providers
- Monitor profitability metrics and assist with ensuring financial efficiency
Operational finance support
- Handle invoicing, receipts, payroll processing, and financial administration
- Work closely with healthcare business owners and Australian taxation Accountant to improve financial performance and long-term stability
- Set up revenue tracking systems to monitor private, corporate, and government funding sources
What We're Looking For
- At least three years of experience in Australian bookkeeping
- Degree qualified in relevant field
- Experience working in healthcare finance, allied health, or disability services is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Xero (Australian version), Microsoft Excel, and financial analysis tools
- Strong understanding of Australian financial regulations, GST, BAS, and payroll compliance
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic planning skills
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and build strong relationships with clients
- Ability to achieve a three times return on investment for clients
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary – PHP 29,000–31,000 per month

Equipment and Internet Requirements
To ensure efficiency in this role, the following setup is required:
- Desktop or laptop with an Intel i5 processor (or higher) and at least 8GB of RAM
- Stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 40 Mbps and a backup connection
- Noise-cancelling headphones and a working web camera for video meetings
- A quiet, professional workspace
