Job Description

Job Summary

The Network Administrator Team Leader is in- charge of providing IT Infrastructure for network services, and email services for head office, cloud and company owned locations. As a network administrator team leader, s/he is expected to minimize downtime in all IT services.

Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure Management

  • Monitors the IT infrastructure on its day-to-day operations.
  • Works with the IT Manager in initiating, planning, and implementing projects geared towards improving the company's infrastructure.
  • Design, develop and maintain complex, multi-segment network infrastructure.
  • Design, develop, install, integrate, and maintain the network physical infrastructure incorporating multiple technologies and protocols;
  • Ensure that all network and architectural diagrams are updated and reviewed whenever there are changes to the network and architecture design or at least once a year whichever may apply.
  • Analyzes network capacity and growth requirements and recommends network infrastructure upgrades and enhancements to meet the long-term needs of the company.
  • Performs project leadership functions for network installation projects.
  • Researches and evaluates hardware and software for compatibility, serviceability, design, and performance
  • Monitors trends and developments in systems, networking, and multi-platform communication technologies
  • Manage the negotiation with vendors along with establishing service level agreements.
  • Ensure contracts are in place to support the services provided.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the network infrastructure team to ensure high performance and continuous growth.
  • Conduct regular team performance evaluations, providing feedback and identifying training opportunities.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the team.

Service Reliability and Uptime

  • Maintain optimal network performance, ensuring minimal downtime and swift recovery from outages.
  • Develop and implement proactive monitoring systems for detecting potential network issues.
  • Lead incident management efforts, including root cause analysis and preventive actions.
  • Set and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) for network uptime and reliability.
  • Conduct regular reviews of network performance metrics and report findings to Network Infrastructure Head and CTO.

Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure that all network operations are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Ensure that all internal and 3rd party audit findings related to his team are remediated as per committed dates.
  • Ensure that all network and architecture diagrams are updated and reviewed whenever there are changes to the network and architecture design or at least once a year whichever may apply.
  • Lead efforts to align network infrastructure with best practices in governance and data protection.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for compliance audits and regulatory reviews.
