Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement customer-facing projects for firewall and route/switch.
  • Deploy new customer deployments involving NSX, security configurations, VMware Cloud Director network configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and solve network connectivity issues.
  • Manage, maintain, and improve the Palo Alto, Fortigate, and VMware NSX (V/T) SDN infrastructure.
  • Document customer and infrastructure firewall diagrams.
  • Respond to emergency situations and perform effective troubleshooting during production outages.
  • Ensure adherence to customer and infrastructure SLA uptimes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 1-3 years related experience working with Fortinet and Palo Alto UTM next gen firewall technologies.
  • Experience implementing multi tenancy using VDOMs within FortiOS.
  • 1-3 years related experience in deploying firewall VMs and basic navigation of VMware environments.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere, NSX-V & NSX-T SDN technologies is a plus.
  • VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as BGP, OSPF, TRUNKS, VLANs, Port-Channel, Static routing, MLAG/vPC.
  • Networking topologies and protocols such as VRF, Traffic Shaping / QoS.
  • Palo Alto Command line.
  • Experience with Python, Ansible, or similar automation technology is a plus.
