Repair and Maintenance Manager

JOB SUMMARY: The Repair and Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all repair, preventive maintenance, and facility upkeep activities across the company's stores, specialty stores and warehouse. This includes air-conditioning systems, kitchen and refrigeration equipment, electrical and plumbing systems, and general building facilities.

The role ensures all locations operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. The Manager leads the maintenance team, coordinates preventive maintenance schedules (PMS), oversees contractors, and ensures minimal downtime to support seamless restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Operations Management

2. Plan, schedule, and oversee all maintenance and repair work for restaurant branches.

3. Implement preventive maintenance programs for air-conditioning, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, exhaust systems, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
4. Monitor the execution of PMS tasks and ensure timely completion.

5. Coordinate emergency repairs and respond to urgent maintenance issues promptly.

6. Equipment & Asset Management

7. Maintain an updated inventory of kitchen and facility equipment.

8. Supervise installation, transfer, and commissioning of equipment between the warehouse and branches.
9. Track equipment performance, service records, and warranty coverage.

10. Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.

11. Team Leadership & Supervision

12. Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians and support staff.

13. Assign work orders, monitor task completion, and ensure compliance with company standards.
14. Oversee third-party service providers and ensure performance per service agreements.

15. Conduct regular training on equipment handling, safety, and maintenance best practices.

16. Budgeting & Cost Control

17. Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets.

18. Review quotations, negotiate with suppliers, and control expenses.

19. Track maintenance costs and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

20. Safety, Compliance & Documentation

21. Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

22. Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and correct potential issues.
23. Maintain documentation for preventive maintenance, inspections, and compliance certifications.
24. Support compliance audits and ensure proper reporting of maintenance records.

Qualifications:

• · Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Facilities Engineering (preferred).

· Technical or vocational certification in air-conditioning, refrigeration, or kitchen equipment maintenance is an advantage.

· At least 2 years of hands-on experience in maintenance or facilities management, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, or food service industry.

· Strong background in HVAC (air-conditioning and ventilation) systems and commercial kitchen equipment.

· Experience managing multiple locations and leading a team of maintenance personnel.

· Knowledge of kitchen and refrigeration equipment operation and troubleshooting.

· Proficiency in diagnosing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.

· Basic knowledge of building systems, including fire protection, lighting, and exhaust systems.

Other Requirements:

· Willingness to travel to various restaurant branches.

· Flexibility to work during off-hours, weekends, or holidays when necessary.

· Physically fit and capable of performing site inspections and technical work when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
