Job Title: Server Administrator

Location: Taguig

Work Schedule: Includes on-call rotation and occasional night/weekend support

Employment Type: 6 months contract

Job Overview

We're looking for a Server Administrator to manage and support servers, operating systems, and infrastructure across both on-premise and cloud environments. This role involves troubleshooting, performance monitoring, documentation, and working closely with technical teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain Windows, Unix, and Linux servers
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and OS issues
  • Manage Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Handle tickets and resolve issues promptly
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Plan and implement OS upgrades and updates
  • Maintain system documentation and inventory records
  • Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure forecasting
  • Provide off-hours support as part of a global on-call rotation
  • Work with both on-premise and cloud systems (Azure)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in server administration and networking
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • VMWare experience required; certification is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Security-focused mindset; experience with PCI and SOX compliance
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be part of an on-call rotation

Contract length: 6 months
