POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The HR Associate – Payroll is responsible for supporting the payroll function by ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation. This role involves maintaining payroll records, resolving payroll discrepancies, and assisting with compliance reporting. The HR Associate will collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure all payroll operations are handled efficiently and in accordance with company policies and government regulations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sends notifications and follow up to all employees regarding DTR submission
- Timekeeping of weekly and extraction of biometrics for monthly payroll.
- Processing of DTR and processing of weekly pay-out
- Process payroll for all employees on a bi-monthly basis, ensuring accuracy in hours, wages, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain payroll records and employee data including new hires, terminations, changes in pay or benefits, and tax withholding information.
- Assist in reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validate final reports.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Prepare reports for internal use, including payroll summaries, audit requests, and HR analytics.
- Collaborate with the finance department for month-end and year-end payroll close processes.
- Support HR in benefits administration and other employee life-cycle transactions as needed.
- Assist with annual tax filings, and other statutory reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and uphold data security standards.
- Process ATM application.
- Administer government-mandated benefits such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other statutory programs, ensuring accurate and timely remittance and reporting.
- Monitors and enhances time, attendance, and leave management systems for office and project sites.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in payroll processing or HR administration preferred.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
