ROLE OVERVIEW
:

The Senior Sales Manager (Director-track) will lead Homonym's commercial growth across
Audio Production, Sonic Branding, Music Marketing and Music Media
.

This role goes beyond closing deals. It is responsible for
building, nurturing, and sustaining long-term client relationships
that result in
repeat campaigns, retained partnerships and multi-year engagements
.

This person is expected to
quickly grow into a Sales Director role
, shaping Homonym's sales strategy, mentoring junior sales/account talent and acting as a trusted commercial counterpart to Creative, Strategy and Leadership.

:

  • Homonym becomes a
    go-to audio partner
    , not a one-off vendor
  • Clients return for
    multiple campaigns, phases or annual partnerships
  • Sales is
    predictable, relationship-driven and aligned with creative quality
  • The sales function matures from "hunting" to
    portfolio and relationship stewardship

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
:

Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Own revenue performance across Homonym's core offerings:
  • Audio Production & Branded Content
  • Music Marketing & Artist-led Campaigns
  • Sonic Branding & Audio Identity
  • Music & Audio Media Placements
  • Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiation, closing and expansion
  • Drive
    retainer, framework, and repeat-business models
    over one-off projects
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline with strong repeat-client contribution

Client Relationship Ownership

  • Serve as senior commercial owner for key client relationships
  • Build long-term trust with brand leaders, marketers, agency partners and decision-makers
  • Ensure continuity, consistency and depth across client engagements
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively propose new ideas, formats, and collaborations
  • Protect Homonym's reputation for
    clarity, reliability and creative integrity

Sales Strategy & Direction (Director-track)

  • Help define and refine Homonym's sales strategy in line with the 2026 plan
  • Identify priority client types, industries and partnership models
  • Establish sales rhythms, pipeline standards and relationship management practices
  • Contribute to pricing discipline and margin protection
  • Mentor junior sales or account roles as the team scales

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Creative, Strategy and Production teams to shape proposals
  • Ensure sales commitments align with creative capacity and quality standards
  • Partner with Finance and Operations on contracts, scopes and forecasting
  • Collaborate selectively with sister company, SurroundCast (Retail Media Solutions) where joint opportunities make sense (without diluting Homonym's identity)

Reporting & Commercial Discipline

  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts and relationship notes
  • Lead regular sales reviews with leadership team
  • Track repeat business, retention and account growth—not just new wins

PROFILE & EXPERIENCE

  • 5–8+ years
    experience in sales, partnerships or account leadership
  • Background in
    advertising, creative agencies, media, music or content
  • Proven ability to manage
    long-term client relationships
  • Strong strategic thinker with commercial instincts
  • Comfortable selling
    creative, intangible, and high-trust services
  • Deep appreciation for sound, music, and culture (must be credible with creatives)
